Footpaths

Some Footpaths in the AONB are closed during the construction of HS2, and others may be subject to lengthy diversions. Bucks CC maintain a list of path closures of which they have been notified. Should you encounter any other problems related to HS2 activities, please notify us.

• See this map for path closures in the Misbourne Valley
• GMI/12 &/13 (Gt Missenden-Potter Row) will be closed for the duration of HS2 construction; the Chiltern Heritage Trail has been diverted.
• Closures of WEN/36,37,38 and TLE/2,3,6 have been announced (25-Apr-21). This will affect the Chiltern Way for around 5 years.
• Extensive closures announced between Bacombe Hill and the Wendover bypass
• Smalldean Lane is currently closed, as is the diversion. The alternative (A413) is unsafe for walkers or cyclists.
