There are an alternative footpath and bridleway to provide access from the Wendover area using Bacombe Lane to access countryside to the west of the HS2 works.
Closure of temporary bridleway from 13 May 2024 to 1 September 2025.
Great Missenden, North Portal extended working hours 24 hours/day, 7 days a week from early February 2024 for approximately 6 months. This is for the two tunnel boring machines breaking through at the North Portal. Additional site lighting will be required and there may be some noise although this will be kept to a minimum. However, this work will be in the cutting so any impact will be reduced.
Early February 2024 – approximately July 2024.
