The Chiltern Way

HS2 are planning to close the Bowood Lane diversion from 28th April to 2nd May, which would require a lengthy diversion of the CW via Gt Missenden. We are currently working to reduce the duration of this interruption, watch this space.

The Chiltern Way will be closed between Kings Lane and Bowood Lane (TLE/6 - WEN/36) during HS2 construction. A diversion has been arranged via TLE/3, WEN/37 which crosses the works at a manned crossing point

Diversion

A signed diversion will be provided. This leaves the current route just after crossing the Chiltern Line, taking WEN/30A/1 to cross the A413, then WEN/37/1 . On reaching Bowood Lane, stay on the footpath (on top of the bank). This path may be diverted around the Bowood Lane bridge works for some time, but crosses the construction site at a manned crossing point. On leaving the wood onto Kings Lane, turn left, then right (after 20 yards) onto TLE/4/2. Just before reaching The Lee, turn left onto the Chiltern Link (TLE/1/7,6,5) back to the original Chiltern Way route (TLE/6/1).

Alternatively, take the Chiltern Link into The Lee, passing the Cock and Rabbit PH, then follow TLE/27, TLE/18 (shown in orange) to rejoin the Chiltern Way at TLE/20
